Signalment: Dutch Warmblood Broodmare (pregnant), “Vienna”.

History: Severe edema in left hind leg & inguinal region

Diagnostics and Exam Findings: Torn pubic tendon was diagnosed

Laser Treatment: A deep tissue fluence (~15J/cm²) was applied to the affected area.

Frequency of Treatment: Laser therapy was started daily for three days, then tapered to every other day for two more sessions for a total of five treatments within one week. The patient’s edema resolved and mare successfully foaled.
