Diagnostics and Exam Findings:
Thermal burns from contact with under-tank heating supply.
Laser Treatment
Applied 560 total joules over affected area at 3.5W.
Frequency of Treatment
Two treatments one week apart.
Other Treatments
Topical wound therapy and injectable antibiotics (Fortaz).
Comments
Therapy of these lesions usually lasts at least six to eight weeks, with future shedding problems afterwards. Laser therapy speeds the healing and minimizes long term effects of the trauma.
