Signalment 
Canine, 12 yrs, FS, Labrador Retriever

 

History 
The patient presented with Otitis Externa but was too painful for topical ear medications to be applied initially.

 

Exam Findings 
Bilateral erythematous and pruritic ears with exudate.

 

Laser Treatment Details 
Otitis protocol (4-8 J/cm2 total in a non-contact manner to the external ear & pinna, and in a contact manner to the deeper components of the ear) was utilized as a single treatment, applied to both ears.

 

Other Treatments 
Topical ear medications once the ears were comfortable enough to apply.


Comments 
“[The patient received] one laser treatment and the following day an “after” picture was taken. Ear drops could then be applied. Ear noticeably improved within less than 24 hours of one laser treatment
