Signalment: Canine, 6 years old, M/N Miniature Dachshund, “Barney”.

History: The patient originally presented on 7/29 with unilateral right pelvic limb paresis. The patient returned on 8/19 with bilateral pelvic limb paresis (with deep pain present).

Diagnostics and Exam Findings: The patient was diagnosed as IVDD with a suspected disk rupture.

Laser Treatment: The patient received 750 J over the lumbar spine and 2,000 J over stifles and hips bilaterally.

Frequency of Treatment: Photobiomodulation (PBM) treatments were done every other day for a total of six treatments.

Other Treatments: Depo Medrol injection and implementation of strict exercise restriction at initial presentation. Upon re-examination, surgery was recommended but was declined.
