27 patient prospective case series on patients with clinically verified TMJ disorder.  Subjects received 5 weekly treatments using a 830 nm laser on 3 points in contact mode at an energy density of 15.4 J/cm2.  After treatment, mean population VAS was reduced by 85% and jaw range of motion increased by 24%.  “The laser therapy was effective in the improvement of the range of temporomandibular disorders (TMD) and promoted a significant reduction of pain symptoms.”
