Case Overview

Quartz, a 2‑year‑old neutered male domestic shorthair cat, was surrendered to a shelter and transferred to HART with no known medical history. On examination, he was diagnosed with dermatitis and an upper respiratory infection. He was treated with laser therapy using the Pyotraumatic Dermatitis protocol (4.5 J/cm² off-contact with a large non-contact treatment head) every three days for three sessions, alongside a hydrolyzed diet, azithromycin, gentamicin topical spray, a single Equishield CKHC bath, and previously administered medications, including Convenia, Depo-Medrol, gabapentin, Atopivet, and Miconahex+Triz mousse. His skin cleared, hair began regrowing, and he was ultimately adopted into a permanent home.
