This case demonstrates how laser therapy helped significantly improve a 10-year-old Boston Terrier's calcinosis cutis, restoring his comfort and demeanor after other treatments failed.

Signalment
Canine, 10 y/o, MN, Boston Terrier "Emmett"

History
Emmett presented with skin lesions involving alopecia, inflammation and pruritus.

Diagnostics and Exam Findings
Diagnosed by skin biopsy with calcinosis cutis secondary to Cushing’s disease.

Laser Treatment Details
4.5 J/cm˜ was applied over the dorsal back and sides using the large non-contact treatment head.

Frequency of Treatment
Twice weekly

Other Treatments
Antibiotics, anti-inflammatories, and EnteDerm were used prior to laser therapy with no improvement. Currently taking Trilostane.

Comments 
"The owners reported improvement in his attitude and demeanor after the first laser treatment, and significant progress after each one. He is back to his normal self and attitude now (eight treatments in)."
