Dermatitis on Two-Year-Old Cat Treated with Laser Therapy

Signalment
Feline, 2 y/o, MN, domestic shorthair, named "Quartz"

History 
"Quartz" was surrendered to a local animal shelter and transferred to HART with no previous medical history. 

Diagnostics and Exam Findings 
On exam, the patient was found to have dermatitis and a URI.

PRP Treatment Details
2 mls PRP IA in both stifles; single PRP injection.

Laser Treatment Details 
The Pyotraumatic Dermatitis protocol was used to provide 4.5 J/cm˜ off contact using the Large Non Contact Treatment Head. 

Frequency of Treatment 
Every three days for three treatments. 

Other Treatments
A hydrolyzed diet, azithromycin, and gentamicin topical spray were started along with laser treatments and a single bath with Equishield CKHC shampoo. Convenia, Depo-medrol, gabapentin, Atopivet, and Miconahex+Triz mousse had been administered previously.

Outcome
Skipper: "His skin is clear with hair regrowing, and he was adopted into his forever home”.
