A long-term captive, adult green moray eel (Gymnothorax funebris)
History
Presented acutely with positive buoyancy, inappetence, and lethargy.
Diagnostics and Exam Findings:
Radiographs confirmed intervertebral disk disease from the gill region to the cranial swim bladder. Movement was greatly impaired and conservative therapy using injectable steroids did not alleviate symptoms.
